A Greeting Message from General Chair

On behalf of the ECCE 2021 Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the 13^th Energy Conversion Congress and Expo, ECCE 2021 in Vancouver, Canada! ECCE is co-sponsored by the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) and  IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS).

Since the first edition in 2009, ECCE has established a solid international reputation as the world’s leading technical conference and exhibition for electrical and electromechanical energy conversion research and innovation. ECCE is exceptional in its emphasis on multi-disciplinary energy conversion technology, presenting novel solutions in applied integrated systems as well as innovations in individual energy conversion components. ECCE provides a tremendous opportunity to electrical engineers working in the many technical fields related to energy conversion to meet their peers, establish productive collaborations, exchange ideas, advance the state of the art and make a positive impact on society and the environment.  Together we Innovate and Explore new Energy Conversion Frontiers!

ECCE 2021 will include an exciting exhibition, double-blind peer-reviewed technical presentations, interactive panel sessions, tutorials on the latest technology and design, as well as a plenary session with presenters from industry leaders. Exhibitors at ECCE showcase state-of-the-art technologies, products, and solutions, creating a highly interactive networking environment.

We plan to meet again, safely in the Vancouver Convention Centre, which was designed with the latest environmentally sustainable features and technology, including a six-acre “living roof” and an on-site blackwater treatment plant. The Centre also features Canada’s largest waterfront ballroom with five-story high ceilings, open terraces, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking mountain and harbor vistas.

ECCE 2021 will co-locate with the IEEE IAS Annual meeting 2021, on the West Building of the Vancouver Convention Center, the world’s first convention facility awarded LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification. Attendees will be able to choose to register for ECCE alone, or to jointly register for ECCE and the IAS Annual Meeting at a reduced combination rate. A tremendous opportunity for engineers, professionals, faculty and students to expand their technical network.
